A Cool Product to Design

A start up company approached Cube3 with the idea of developing a simple cooling fan to cool down individuals who suffers from night sweats.  These people get too hot in bed and more often than not have partners who do not suffer.  A typical solution is to use a floor or desk fan.  The problem is this can be very noisy and disturbs their partners sleep.

We developed this product to keep noise to a minimum whilst delivering a good volume of air directly to the sufferer while in bed.  The fan unit sits on the floor at the base of the bed and uses a flexible hose and nozzle to direct the air towards the user from the bottom edge of the bed.  A control unit sits on the bedside cabinet to control air flow.
